St. Luke’s Work-Up technician, Kristy H. recently got a haircut … but not just any haircut. She donated her almost waist-length flowing hair to Wigs for Kids, a non-profit that has been serving children suffering from hair loss since 1981. Kristy selected this group after carefully researching several options. “I wanted to donate my hair to where it would do the most good,” she said. Kristy noted that on average, is able to make a donation each year or so. “I’m lucky, my hair grows really fast.”

Meet 11-year-old Sienna, the newest Wigs for Kids recipient. We asked her a few questions and are thrilled to share them with you.
What are your hobbies? I love music, dogs, horseback riding, traveling and anything outdoors!
Who do you look up to? People who stand up for themselves and others.
What makes you smile? Seeing others happy! And funny jokes.
What does this hairpiece mean to you? It makes me feel more self-confident and people won’t focus on my baldness anymore.
